Featuring: DALE PECK & MOLLY ROSEN

DALE PECK is the author of the novels Martin and John, The Law of Enclosures, and Now It's Time to Say Goodbye; the memoir-cum-novel What We Lost; a book of literary criticism, Hatchet Jobs; and two children's books, Drift House and The Lost Cities. In 2008 and 2009 he will publish Body Surfing, a metaphysical thriller, Sprout, a young adult novel, and The Garden of Lost and Found, a novel for adults, and, if he finishes it on time, Twelve Caesars, his first collection of short stories. His fiction and essays have appeared in the New York Times, the New York Observer, Out, the New Republic, the Atlantic Monthly, the London Review of Books, Bookforum, BOMB, Tin House, Granta, and the Threepenny Review. The winner of two O. Henry Awards, a Pushcart Prize, and a Guggenheim Fellowship, he currently teaches in the Graduate Writing Program of The New School, where Molly Rosen once asked him why he never wrote a novel instead of hating on everyone else's.

MOLLY ROSEN was the Fiction Editor and Staff Writer of ym magazine and the Beauty and Style editor of Nylon. Her fiction, essays, interviews and features have appeared in Tokion, Alef, Jane, Maxim, TheBlowup, Elle Girl, and she has appeared as a pop culture expert on NPR and VH1. She studied English and Semiotics at Brown and received an MFA from The New School. She recently finished her first novel GOLD.

The Enclave Finalizes October Line up: Dale Peck & Molly Rosen

The Enclave is pleased to announce that our reading scheduled for Saturday October 27th will feature Dale Peck, along with Molly Rosen. The reading will occur at Kenny’s Castaways (157 Bleecker Street) from 4-6 PM. The event is free and open to the public. Please see Mr. Peck’s and Ms. Rosen’s bios below:

Born on Long Island, a graduate of Drew University, author of the novels Martin and John and The Law of Enclosures, he also co-wrote the screenplay for the latter. His latest novel is Now It's Time to Say Goodbye. His short fiction has appeared in Artforum, Bookforum, BOMB, London Review of Books, The New Republic, New York Times, and The Village Voice. Peck was also The New Republic’s renown literary critic for many years, and published an anthology of his reviews, Hatchet Jobs: Writings on Contemporary Fictions was published in 2004. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1995.

Molly Rosen is the former Fiction Editor and Staff Writer of ym magazine and the Beauty and Style editor of Nylon.
